• ScanSnap Manager is the special driver that controls ScanSnap and provides its ease of use. It provides the flexibility to automate the scanning process while maintaining the ability to customize it as required. TWAIN / ISIS is not supported.
  
• The new enhanced version of ScanSnap Organizer allows you to organize or distribute your PDF files automatically or ‘as needed’. Within ScanSnap Organizer, keyword searches help you to locate the specific file you require which can then be emailed, sent to SharePoint, printed or converted into a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document.
  
• ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap allows one touch scanning to editable Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents.

Fast Duplex Colour Scanning
In an effort to reduce paper consumption and environmental impact, double-sided documents are becoming more common. ScanSnap scans both sides of the page at the same time allowing you to create a 40 page PDF file in 1 minute (20 double sided pages/minute).

Reliable, Unattended Automatic Scanning
Many of today’s documents, including contracts, correspondence and invoices, contain multiple pages. The ScanSnap S1500’s automatic feeder can handle up to 50 pages at a time making quick work of these documents.

Need to scan a larger batch of documents? By enabling Continuous Scanning, ScanSnap will prompt you when the feeder is empty allowing you to scan up to 999 pages into a single PDF file.

Worried about misfeeds? The ScanSnap S1500 comes equipped with ultrasonic double feed detection to accurately detect any paper misfeeds.

• Compact and Portable Design
  With its small footprint, ScanSnap S1500 requires less desktop space than a Letter size page. At only 3 kg, ScanSnap can be easily carried in its carrying case option. If you prefer ScanSnap to be less portable, it can be secured via a security lock port on the rear of the unit.
• “On the fly” PDF Generation
  PDF has become the standard file format in many offices. ScanSnap scans directly to PDF allowing for the easy sharing of information between departments or offices. If security is a concern, ScanSnap can automatically create password protected PDF files so only the intended recipient can view its contents.
• Automatic Colour, Greyscale or Black&White Detection
  An increasing number of office documents contain a mix of black&white, greyscale and colour pages including contracts edited with highlighter pens, reports with colour graphs and invoices with hand written notes. ScanSnap can automatically detect which pages should be scanned in colour, greyscale or black&white eliminating the need to sort these documents prior to scanning.
• Blank Page Deletion
  When scanning a mixed batch of single-sided and double-sided documents, ScanSnap can automatically remove the blank pages to reduce the file size and improve the flow of the document.
• Automatic Page Size Detection (Auto Cropping)
  ScanSnap can automatically detect any paper size from business cards up to Legal (8.5x14 inches). Simply put pages of different sizes into the automatic feeder and ScanSnap will create a PDF file where every page is cropped to the size of the original.
  Exception documents up to 11x17 inches can be scanned using the ScanSnap carrier sheet. Simply fold the tabloid page in half and insert it into the carrier sheet. ScanSnap will automatically stitch the two sides together to create an 11x17 inch image. The carrier sheet can also serve to protect delicate documents as they pass through the automatic feeder.
  
  
• Highlighter Pen Cropping
  This ScanSnap Organizer feature allows you to extract individual sections of a page by outlining them with a highlighter pen prior to scanning. Highlighter pen cropping supports all shapes and all common highlighter colours when used on white paper containing only black text.
• Automatic Keyword Creation
  When scanning white paper containing only black text, highlighted words can automatically become keywords within the PDF file. These keywords can be used for text based searches from within Adobe Acrobat, ScanSnap Organizer, and other search engines.
• Automatic Page Orientation
  When scanning a batch that contains portrait and landscape printed pages, ScanSnap will automatically rotate the pages into the correct orientation for legibility.
• Automatic Straightening (Deskew)
  For pages scanned at an angle or pages that were printed crooked, ScanSnap will automatically straighten (deskew) the image.
  
• Tuned for your office
  The sound generated by ScanSnap has been tuned so it is not disruptive in a typical office environment. It is this attention to detail that makes ScanSnap perfectly suited for the desktop.

Exchange Warranty
The ScanSnap S1500 includes a 1 year exchange warranty. If our technical support team determines there is a hardware failure, Fujitsu will provide a replacement unit anywhere in Canada at no charge.
